Henrique Dib - Composer

Henrique Dib is a multi-award nominee composer based in Potts Point (Sydney, Australia). His passion for music, composition and improvisation goes beyond explanation.

He graduated in 2009 from the Sydney Conservatorium of Music with an honours first-class degree in composition and the University of Sydney Medal. During his studies, Henrique received an unprecedented number of composition scholarships, 14 in total, including USYDâ??s International Merit Scholarship for 5 consecutive years. He was also included in the Deanâ??s list of excellence in academic performance and received an invitation to join the Golden Key International Honours Society. He also holds a Civil Engineering degree.

In the past 3 years, Henrique wrote music for over 60 projects including feature and short films, documentaries, animations, trailers, television, commercials, commissions, and concert music. His music has been performed in Australia, China, Sweden, Germany, Italy, France, Finland and Brazil. Some of his composition achievements include: 2nd prize out of approximately 900 entries for the 2013 APRA Tropscore Film Music Competition; 3 consecutive nominations for the prestigious APRA Screen Music Award (2010, 2011, 2012) and 2nd prize for the David Tribe Symphonic Music Award in 2007.
