The historic Hepburn Bathhouse & Spa, the heart of Spa Country in Hepburn Springs - Daylesford.The mineral waters of Hepburn Springs have long been renowned for their healing properties. Indeed, the springs were considered so valuable that gold mining was halted in the region to protect them.
The historic Hepburn Bathhouse & Spa, nestled in the picturesque Mineral Springs Reserve originally opened in 1895, and has recently undergone a $13m redevelopment which blends the Edwardian Bathhouse with stunning contemporary design.
Guests can maintain tradition by soaking in the communal mineral water pools of the Bathhouse, and enjoy an extensive range of hydrotherapies within The Sanctuary namely the Aroma Steam Room, Spa Couches, Monsoon showers and Salt Therapy Pool.
The Hepburn Bathhouse & Spa offers a full range of private mineral water bathing, spa therapies and beauty treatments including massage, facials, body wraps and body polishes, and spa rituals.
Adjacent to the Hepburn Bathhouse & Spa in the Mineral Springs Reserve is the Hepburn Pavilion Caf�©. Built in 1908, the Pavilion Caf�© is open daily and provides an atmospheric environment for a glass of wine and a light lunch, or coffee with a slice of cake or freshly baked scones served with house made jam and lashings of double cream.

My niece left in tears, being ushered out of the pool by staff without permission from her mother to put her phone in the lockers, the management told her that she needed to put the phone in the locker rooms or she would have to leave. There are no signs stating this at book in, and nobody told us. They pointed out a sign in the change rooms which is not very well displayed.
Spa as a whole is good, but the one thing that slightly lets it down is the view from the communal pool. It feels like you're overlooking an abandoned piece of land. They have made some effort to plant some trees in one spot and then neglected another. It could be a really lovely relaxing view with greenery etc, but it's just a bit of scrub with some piles of mulch at the moment! Don't forget to take a towel or pay the extra!
