I purchased an electric fireplace and paid RRP $1999.95. Waited for 2 weeks and came to pick it up. I notice their display one was absent and asked them where it was, one guy replied it has been sent away for repairs, but he wasn’t sure. My spidey senses tingled, I was greeted with an item that was carefully wrapped in layers of plastic and bubble wrap. I asked them “where is the cardboard box it comes in?”, they responded with “it comes in a crate” and showed me a crate that had a different item and brand on it. I asked them to open the wrapping and there it was, nicely packaged with a dusty power cord, no user manual, no remote control. I demanded a refund and was told the store can only process $300/day which was another lie. Then I was told that they thought I had paid RRP for the display unit which was the 3rd lie (because who wouldn’t want to pay $2000 for a dusty display unit with no remote control or user manual?? Worst experience. Hired them to instal a gas heater. They took our marble mantle that was in perfect condition and had all its original trimmings and instead of polishing and restoring it they smashed all the trimmings chipped the main parts and reassembled it all crooked with broken pieces and inaccurate parts. It looks like a mess. They didn't measure the cavity and tiled wrong. They used a faulty switch of the wrong colour and refused to repair or replace. Damaged our wooden floor and used wrong colour putty to patch it up.
Complete disaster due to their lack of knowledge, professionalism and adequate tools.

I will never go back. The service is absolutely appalling. We paid to get them to do a small job of adding some marble trim to our fireplace hearths. We placed the order in August and finally got them to complete the job in November. The first guy who turned completely screwed up the job so I called them to complain, thankfully they agreed and said that this was not the first time this guy screwed up the job however, it took them two months to then come back and complete the job. They needed to be chased up over and over again and would often swear and call us liars on the phone when we said we had called and left messages. Stay clear.

I went here to buy a door and had randomly found it on google. I half expected it to be a small store with a few old vintage doors and new stuff but wow was I wrong. The Heritage Building Centre is HUGE and somewhere you could get lost for an entire afternoon happily. You just walk through the different sections and they have literally everything. When I got into the door section it was a massive warehouse space with just hundreds of doors all shapes and sizes lined up. It was quite overwhelming looking through all the different options but the staff there were super helpful and even helped us load it up into our small car. I can't wait for my next visit here, however, it could get expensive as I'd end up buying everything!
