Hertz Car Rental Melbourne Airport

WORST CAR HIRE COMPANY EVER - DO NOT USE.

I booked a Nissan X-Trail for my trip in Melbourne and received confirmation that the car would be ready by 3:30pm on 27 December 2018.

When I arrived at the Hertz office at Melbourne Airport (Tullamarine), I still had to wait an additional 20 minutes whilst they were cleaning the car. By then, the time was now 7pm. Absolutely appalling will never rent a car from here again. They don't tell you all costs was charged location fee twice over $300 !!! and then they were rude too. Was told one amount and not informed of all extra costs.

We recently hired a car for a trip to Melbourne. Whilst the car was clean and well maintained, the customer service we received upon drop off was appalling. The staff were rude and offered no help when asked. The level of customer service was not satisfactory. We are regular visitors to Melbourne, but will not be using Hertz care hire again. I would not recommend to others visiting Melbourne Airport based on our experience today.

ALWAYS a huge line out in the cold when arriving later at night. Takes forever to move and people stand outside for ages freezing. Disgusting service.

I recently arrived in the baggage claim are for Qantas and asked the Hertz representative, Ian, for a quote for two day car hire. Four times he tried to talk me out of hiring a car telling me that the taxes are high, that the insurance is expensive, that the fuel cost to refill is costly and that to pick up a car from the airport would be much more than taxi fares or sky bus for two people. He could not have been any more negative. Needless to say, I decided against it. Aaaaaaaaahh!!! Hertz, look at your staff and employ more positive people. This guy does not need your job!
