We hired a ute from Hertz,the tyres were in unroadworthy condition, the tail lights didn't work so we could only travel during daylight hours and the brakes were in poor condition. We were also charged for Registration recovery hopefully it was registered also for Administration recovery on contacting them regarding these charges the staff member advised this was for taking the call and making the booking. Maybe Hertz should pay their staff for these costs not get their clients to pay for it. We were going to have our call transfered to someone who could answer our questions but waited on hold for some time then it just disconnected. Poor Customer Service .and

DO NOT......deal with this company they just take money from your credit card when nothing is owed, they kept ringing to say I had car when car was already given back 6 weeks later they take $400 dollars from account , when I rang there is no satisfaction they just say that computer is saying and to contact my insurance as that is who took out the car, when I rang APIA they did there best to sort it out but don't hold your breath to get money back oh hertz......??

Like to know why my hertz withdraw money out of my account 11/2 months after I returned a car full of fuel and no marks on the vehicle from me with no consolation at all just withdraw money. Wonder how many people have this done to them without knowing.

Brisbane airport staffer aggressively interested in pushing for an upgrade to my car booking but did not tell me at all that there would be a ridiculously exorbitant fee for "administration costs" for processing toll fees, which was many hundred percent higher than the actual tolls! Months later, Customer "dis"service employee Prasanna responded- NOT promptly, with a very inadequate reply to my comments that the BMW car I upgraded to after multiple suggestions from sales staff,did NOT have any manual NOR instructions for the car or it's GPS. I have a GPS at home, but the BMW had quite a different operating system. Prasanna doesn't think there is any issue to resolve, and that I should have spent my time in Brisbane trying to call in to the office at Brisbane airport, which is not also prompt at answering calls, rather than get instructions in the car provided to customers. I hired a car in Australia and when I got back and when I got my credit card statement they had charged me 2 amounts of charges. I emailed them to ask what the charges were for and yes you guessed it, no reply. Rubbish customer service and feel ripped off and will never use them again and my advice is to anyone else to look elsewhere. I have used other rental company's over there and never been ripped off. As you can see from other customers on here they are losing customers big time.
