Had a horrible experience there a year ago and was keeping it to myself but when a friend told me a similiar story recently I thought it was now worth retelling my eperience. I have been buying magic supplies in Sydney for more than 40 years - going back to the original Weirdos store, and I've worked as a mentalist around town for more than two decades. I needed a basic tool of the trade, the most used utility prop in magic, in a hurry and decided to try out this story as my former supplier now only sells online. I was served by the store's management who told me that because they had never met me before they would not sell me the item in case I intended to use it to expose magic techniques! However, if I bought any of the $50 DVDs they had on sale they would sell me the item. Found out about this store and decided to check it out to help support local businesses, even if the prices are a little dearer. Mistake. The supposed 'magician' who served me was rude and arrogant; talking to me as if I was stupid and was wasting their time. They then went to serve someone else part-way through serving me. Complete waste of time and will be spending my money from online and cheaper dealers in the future. Will not be returning unless I happen to hear that there has been a major staff overhaul that better considers the public values of magic.

Walked for a few kilometres to visit this place specifically. Rude, uncaring and lazy staff member working there 26 May 2014. Ruined the whole experience. Will never buy from someone like that. Waste of time this whole journey was. Don't waste your time or dollars on people like this.

One of the only magic stores dedicated to the craft, these guys know their stuff! go in for demonstrations or just to ask questions. They also run classes and workshops!
