Hi Thai
HiThai doesn't have much competition in olympic park so you often see a lot of people there. I had lunch there on the weekend and the food was pretty average. I had a beef dish with rice where the meat was really dry and over cooked (perhaps it was not prepared fresh?). I've since been back to Olympic Park but the average experience I had has made me avoid this place. A work colleague of mine reckons it's alright so maybe I need to go back and give it another chance?
Enjoyed a lovely late evening meal at Hi Thai in SOP and shared options with some colleagues.
The entres we tried were Sexy Girl and Spring Rolls followed by mains of duck, lamb and chicken.
Service was fast, meals were hot and tasty and all went down a treat.
Dined outside on a nice evening, but inside seating also available - as is takeaway.
Gave table booking away and struck name off bookings list upon investigation. Waited over an hour for mains, and enquired with 3 staff how long food would be. One staff member walked off, never to be seen again. Another told us they wouls chase it up, again didn't come back and third looked at me blankly and said staff couldn't tell me. We paid for our drinks and left. Whilst waiting to pay for the drinks, others in line to pay also revealed that their reservations had been struck off and tables given to walk in, and they too waited an hour to an hour and a half for mains that didn't turn up
