I often eat at The Hibernian. I have tried many of the Parmas on the Parma menu and have found they all very yummy. The Parma Menu is available on Thursday and Sunday, and come with chips and salad. I was told by one of the staff that they make there own chip salt, which was amazing. I wanted to buy a tub.
I have been to the hotel on other days and found the food nice again delicious.
The staff is helpful and kind. I also noticed that on the menu there are many gluten free options, which I found not many other places in town had. It was nice to see.
I will be back :)
We stayed at Beechworth on the long weekend in march 2011. We had not planned on eating here but as we were walking, a big storm came and we sought refuge here. Lovely inside. As it was " Parma" night we decided to go with it. Wish I hadn't. I ordered the "Aussie" ham and cheese. It came with salad and chips. It did not come with a sauce of any kind - so the cheese hardend and it became very hard and dry when eating. I ended up ordering a jug of gravy in order to get through it. The chips were the usual stodgy pub fare - not crisp at all. The table behind us was very close by and the woman seated there ended up speaking (very loudly) into my ear as she turned around to read the menu. The staff were however helpful and friendly. My friend ordered the schnitzel which meant that she got to eat the vegetables in the baine Marie, however there was a weird purple cabbage conncoction that appeared more salad than veg.
