I would like to congratulate the driver of Hills bus MO9529 (Route 6078?) who at 4.33pm today (Sun, Nov. 2) attempted to force my car from the middle lane in the Lane Cove Tunnel into the left-hand lane (directly in the path of another Hills bus) after overtaking my vehicle from the middle lane. After overtaking my vehicle, the Hills driver had found himself/herself (?) behind a car in the right-hand lane that was observing the 80kph speed limit so he/she put on the bus's left-hand blinkers whilst ALONGSIDE my car and immediately started to cut into the middle lane directly across my path. I honked my car-horn but was ignored by the driver. I was then forced to brake strongly to prevent a very serious accident. My wife was a passenger in my vehicle and witnessed the entire incident - and recorded the details of the bus. In an age where the you can shop, bank and communicate online, Hills Bus still does not allow for the purchasing of bus passes online. Their 'office' is only open between 9 & 4, meaning I had to take a day off work to go in and order a student bus pass. What a waste of a day, because apparently they no longer sell tickets to overseas/international students. This information is not available on their website and was not mentioned to me when I called and checked that they were open and the reason for my visit. Poor form. On the plus side, the receptionist was mildly helpful and actually genuinely nice which made me leave not feeling so bad about the whole mixup.
