As I wondered through the kitchen on the way to the loo, I recognised urgent commands in Indian Tamil. The chef gave me a quick smile as he hurried his team into action for a function in the process, next door. My friends and I ordered the Thaali - I variety of curries, rice, naan, pickles, raita and gulab jamun. It was a huge amount of food for one person (well for a female maybe?) and excellent value for money. What wasn't good value for money were the jugs of cola at $7 each. It would have been better if they gave us the bottles, because half-way through the jugs, the cola became flat due to the open tops. Anyway, apart from that the service was great and ambience was pretty typical of an Indian restaurant (think Bollywood dance clips on flat screens on the wall, gaudy chairs and table decor). Tasty Indian for a relaxed night out!
