It all started with spooky noises from our Bosch water heater. An old heater that was there when we bought the house, years ago. Why did it sound like water was running through it, even when no water in the house was turned on? I got worried. In the evening, I turned off the cold tap to the heater. Which stopped the noise. But in the morning, when I turned the tap back on, the heater no longer worked at all. At 7.30AM, I phoned Anton at Hillview Plumbing and Gas. He'd helped us before with cheerful efficiency on smaller hassles like dribbling showers. I told him the ancient and rusty Bosch heater had died. Could he replace it? In three hours he was there with a new Bosch. But first he checked out the old heater and found out there was nothing wrong with it! It was just that the cold tap was acting up and had still been closed internally, even though it seemed to be fully open. After the pest control company drilled through one of my water pipes and accepting no liability to repair said pipe. I rang Hillview plumbing and gas and Anton came ASAP (within an hour) and performed the required repair. Would recommend them to anyone. Price was best by about $100. You'd be silly not to use them.
