Hippo Creek African Grill and Steakhouse

For a restaurant that waxes lyrical about it's meat (and to be fair the meat is good quality meat) to treat it with such laziness is beyond comprehension. I have just paid for one of the most ordinary meals of my life. The entree of Carpaccio with a horseradish dressing came with nothing that resembled a dressing, no bite of horseradish and - I kid you not - chopped up tinned baby beetroot! I know that taste anywhere. The deep fried mushrooms were ok. We mentioned that we were sharing the starters,expecting a couple of plates to be produced for us to eat off, but no, we had to use our crumb covered bread plates. Once finished the entree's were taken away along with our well used bread plates but our cutlery was left on the table. No fresh flatware for each course here.
