Ho-Jiak is our go to place for a quick feed of Malaysian hawker styled food. My favourite dish is the char kway teow. It's dark, and full of flavour and that unmistakable wok hay smokiness imparted on the rice noodles. If you're hungry the nasi lemak will be sure to fill you up. The best parts of this tray stacked with small delights, is the slow cooked beef rendang. Ikan billis(fried white bait with sambal chilli) is crispy and spicy. I loved the fragrance of the rice cooked in coconut milk. It's not gourmet dining, but it's good food with tons of flavour.
This use to be called Petaling Express, now Ho Jiak
Whether they changed hands or just changed names I'm not too sure

They provide extra chillies on the side to season the dish to your liking, which was a great touch as ...read more
