Hoban Recruitment

Signed up with Hoban with the intention of getting casual work. Unfortunately, my experience with them has been a waste of my time. I met with them around May 2019 and was asked to fill out information on-line which I did. I then tried to contact them to via phone, text and email to find out what I needed to do next. I have had no reply from them since. I perservered for six months before I gave up. Extremely disappointed with their service.

They were quick to take our $$$...but we still have 2 out of 2 positions unfilled.
Their replacement "warranty" was useless...

Question whether they did any background checks as it was clear early that their recommended employees had "issues".

PS I put one star as it wouldn't let me put zero.

Worst recruitment agency. I applied for a job through seek. A recruiter from HOBAN called me and treated me horribly over the phone, tried to make me out to be a lier and an imbecile!! Very intimidating and horrible. Can not believe these are some of the tactics, recruiters are using these days, very poor and makes the rest of the industry look bad!

I've worked with this temp agency in the past. I was given a start date, then told I wasn't working that assignment. Then I was, then they had a last minute training day, I couldn't make, so wasn't working. Then was working, then it was a day to day wait till 10pm to get a text to tell me if I was working the next day. After this assignment I've been offerred three more. Over the phone I've been given start dates, each time I've moved my personal life around these dates then I hear nothing from them. Very unprofessional. I've worked with in a large group of their temp staff. Majority have poor english skills and even poorer personal grooming and hygiene standards. Annoyed that the best people for the job is most likely being overlooked. Don't know whether they are 'looking after mates' or a monkey is drawing names out of a hat. But every encounter with this company has been poor to say the least.

I applied for the above role and even with my close to 5 years experience was told I was unsuccessful and wasnt even given a reason as to why i was unsuccessful. not impressed with the service of this recruiter.

I suggest the people who are handling jobs for training providers should have alot more knowledge of this industry as I am not impressed that I wouldnt be suitable.
