Agree! The new owners are clearly aiming for a different demographic... We use to go here for family functions however these days its more about the bar with our mates than taking out the relo's. Miss some of the charm the place use to have, certainly not the fonds memories from my childhood
This used to be a great family restaurant in Sandringham, until it changed over hands. The food is average and it's trying to do too many things with the bar/pub area on one side and the restaurant on the other. Not nearly as great as it once was.
I definitely agree with bodyriddle. This used to be my favourite restaurant in Sandringham. I'll always remember Jason who worked there. He would do anything to please his customers and would remember people's names which is a lovely touch. The food was always beautiful and well presented. I don't go to Hobson's anymore now after two lacklustre meals. The new owners need to go back to the old Hobson's!
