Listed a property with Hocking Stuart managing it. They would never return my phone calls, couldn't get the tenants to pay their rent on time, when they sent handymen, they would do dodgy jobs that would require them to return several times! I was so frustrated and angry and if it hand't been for wonderful neighbours keeping an eye on the property it would have turned in to a boarding house as they kept adding tenants!! Have never dealt with such an unprofessional lot. I changed agents to Ray White Reservoir (FANTASTIC!) but am still chasing up missed placed rent (payed to them by accident which they are not forwarding on!). DO NOT BOTHER WITH THIS COMPANY!!!
We were long term renters of an expensive rental property managed through Hocking Stuart Hawthorne. In May 2010 we advised the agent that a known ceiling leak in the 2nd of four bedrooms had become significant and whenever it rained this would create a waterfall into the room. It took some time for the property manager to arrange inspection by a builder, after which time the builder advised some significant remediation work would be required.
