I have been here on a few occasions and the most recent was with their updated (finally!) menu. There are some new options available which is great and it even felt a little but fancy. The waitress was lovely and the food good. Only thing lacking is the food took a while (even though there wasn't many people remaining) and the people at the till were quite rude as soon as we mentioned we had a voucher to use.
Absolutely disappointed in the service at this establishment. My family and I went here for lunch and after waiting 10 minutes to be seated in a restaurant that was close to empty, we were then seated at a table that had to be cleaned while we waited, obviously when we got to sit down at the table it was covered in water. The food was ok, however we only went there for convenience as we needed to have lunch in the area and we had a voucher for the cafe. At the end of the meal we went to pay and the man that took our payment informed us that we couldn't use the '25% off the total bill' voucher. What I was most disgusted with was the way this member of staff addressed my mother. He interrupted her multiple times, his tone was rude and he rolled his eyes even while the manager was sitting just meters away from where we were paying. There is no way I will ever dine here again.
I went to Hog's breath Ipswich for lunch and I have to say it was not worth the money we spent. The staff was some what friendly but honestly that's the only good thing I can say about the whole experience, The food was not very nice at all and did not look anything like the menu picture,The store was unclean with marks all over the windows and dead insects and dirt behind the booth we were sitting at. We have been to other Hog's breath cafe's and the experiences was always wonderful with great tasting food but unfortunately for Ipswich that was not so.
