Hog's Breath Cafe

Ok, after quite a few months, I thought we'd give this Hoggies another go. Our last visit hadn't been great but this lunch visit well & truly made up for it! Hubby and I ordered the chicken Caesar salads with avocado, and lemon, lime & bitters to drink. A lovely girl named Foxx (I don't believe that was her real name, but that's what the her badge said!) served us, checked that we were happy with our meals and replaced our expired Frequent Diner cards for us. She was great and the food was awesome. We'll be back sooner!

We really love the slow cooked steaks at Hogs Breath. Hubby & I always get the Blackened Prime Rib with hog tail fries & vegies. Our last visit to Hogs Breath at Broadbeach wasn't a great one unfortunately. The bar staff got my drink order wrong and when I enquired about it, floor staff argued with me, told the bar staff, then decided to give me dirty looks for the rest of our time there. Really pathetic. Definitely not in a hurry to return to this Hoggies!

We just dropped in for lunch and decided to have a steak each. I had the prime with mushrooms and bernaise sauce with their curly fries and salad. The steak was cooked to my order of medium and it was delicious. It had the proper bbq taste that should come with your steak and the salad was great too on a hot day instead of veggies. Both our meals were good and the service was excellent. Good all round place to eat.

Went for my wife's birthday. The first steak was so full of fat. Owner replaced it and it was still the worst steak I've ever had a restaurant. At least a third of the meat was fat. Owner came over again and saw what I'd been served a second time and took my plate away. Thin cheap cuts of meat. Went home very disappointed. You can't charge $28 for this sort of quality. After going to the restaurant for a number of years I won't be going back.
