Hollywood Hotel

This place must have changed ownership since I was last here because I remember coming into this hotel and seeing that the walls were full of paintings by somebody who really liked Pablo Picasso. When I noticed that my hotel was just down the road, I decided to step inside and to my surprise they were all gone. I then noticed that the previous photos that I took of the place didn't have the heart above the door. It was a shame because I really liked the decorations when I was here last, and in fact spent much of my time checking them out. These days this has simply become a rather boring pub, and while the staff were friendly enough, it really isn't that great anymore. Oh, I probably should mention that the toilets are absolutely disgusting, and on that fact alone I'm really going that have to knock a lot of points off this place.

Old school pub, nothing fancy. Like everybody else, the decor needs some updating. Still a popular local drinking hole otherwise, especially situated so near the city. Decent priced drinks.

This is by far the best pub in the lower part of Surry Hills. There's no attitude and it draws an easy going crowd.

A popular back street pub with character. Despite it's old run down appearance it still attracts a good crowd and has a great atmosphere. Good place if you want to catch up with friends over a few beers.

Fairly dingy little pub but it's a good old fashioned Aussie local with a good story behind it (see info from other reviewers).
