Whilst many appear to be satisfied with Homesteads construction during the building phase, you have to be warned about the apparent cheap sub-standard works that they oversee which may not manifest themselves for many years. I have had such safety issues just post the 10 year phase.
- Balcony with little or no waterproofing along with an 'invisible' membrane. This resulted in having to remove the tiles and concrete sheeting, repair the water damaged LVLs and of course put back together; a costly exercise. The people I got to repair the damage instructed that no-one should stand on the affected areas of the balcony as there was no support and there was a real risk of falling through.
- Stainless balustrades fixed with zinc plated mild steel screws which are totally inappropriate for use with stainless steel. This will cause a battery type ...read more

Just wanted to take a moment to say how pleased I was with this company and it's staff. They were way more helpful than anyone else when we were first starting and though we compared 5 other builders (Fairmont, Sterling, Hickenbotham, Stellar, and Rendition), Homstead won out. They were a bit more than most, but they price everything up front so you don't end up adding down the track. Boy was it worth it! Our home went up fast and I always had direct contact with someone. You will get more than you pay for with this company and I'm so relieved I didn't jump at a lower price from builders whom, after my reserach, didn't have as strong of a repuration. A special thanks to Dan Coperich for all of his help as our Consultant. He was beyond helpful with our custom design and I would reccomend you seek him out if you consider Homestead as your builder.
