Our experience with Hornsby Family Cars was very positive. Colin was personable, professional and knowledgeable about the cars for sale. He didn't pressure us for a sale, but left us to make our own decision. The car was the best deal we saw in Sydney on the day. We are very happy with our car. We would not hesitate to return to Hornsby Family Cars to look for our next car.
Be careful I bought a car here in November 2017 , it turns out the car had been in an accident so my air con gas started leaking from condenser and my transmission fluid cooler was all bent .. it had no recorded accidents I’m out of pocket about 1700 .. I haven’t bothered calling them as it’s been 10 months and I can’t be bothered arguing .. beware there mechanic check that they give you is dodge ... good luck

"My wife and I purchased a hatchback from Colin late last year after seeing the vehicle advertised online. It looked nice and it looked clean. I was a little concerned that for a late 2016 vehicle it had clocked just over 40,000km and I couldn't get past the smell of fresh paint, but my wife liked it and I asked these questions; had it been in any accidents? The car that I bought was not the one I test drove. Test drove a burgundy Hyundai i30 SR spec. The paper work displayed in the window was for a lower spec car of the same colour and same km. Signed paper work, when I picked up the car noticed it was of a lower spec. When I questioned them they said "that's the car you've signed for." Very dishonest. Following up legally .
We absolutely deny this outrageous and wrongful review and total distortion of the facts and insinuated that we acted fraudulently
Our company is waiting legal advice as we may have a case against you for deformation
These are the facts that can be backed up with any affidavit
1)This client comes into our dealership on an advert for a different type of vehicle
2) On looking around sees the only red car(as she states)at our dealership which is an Hyundai i30 ACTIVE 2015 Red and purchases it for $15490 signs the conract and receives her copy
The following day takes delivery and calls to accuse us of switching the cars and says she test drove an Hyundai i30 SR MODEL 2015 in Red with the same milage at our dealership
3) Our dealership has NEVER. EVER had an Hyundai i30 SR FOR SALE since introduced to Australia and only stock the Active models
(Any SR MODEL advertised at the time through Car Sales was listed between $22500 to $25000 which is no where near the $15490 she paid for the Active version)
We note you have said you have reported us to Fair Trading and wait their enquiry into this matter
Perhaps the writer should have waited for the Fair Trading response before accusing our company of fraud as a loss in a deformation case may be costly
