BEWARE I went to the barista course level 1 today and I just spent my money for nothing, was the same then seat in one of the thousands coffees in Melbourne and watch any staff making a coffee. The teacher started late, the class had 14 students for one coffee machine, teacher did not show us how to make all kinds of coffee, spending more time talking b*******s then show us or given a chance to practice how to make a coffee. I just had a chance to make one coffee and was terrible. I was there not spending my money to hear about hospitality, my intention was learn how to make a coffee and i still having no idea. when this course was finishing the teacher told us to do not expect get a job as a barista. Of course I couldn't expect get a job if I had just one chance to try just a simple short black . There are many courses offering just 4 students for class, so if you want really learn, have someone to give you attention and want learn even the minimum instructions ...read more
I did a barista course that was basically redundant, I wasn't able to learn how to heat/froth milk because others were hogging the machines and nothing was done about it by the instructors, and were rude when I asked to try. I couldn't make coffee correctly. Waste of money I couldn't spare.
