I went to Brunswick heads for a camping weekend and thought we would get a decent feed. Oh I was so wrong. The food was some of the worst 'pub grub' I have ever had. There was 4 adults and 4 kids at our table and not one of us finished our meals. The beef burger patty was still running around the plate, my chicken snitzel was simply deep fried with a couple of chips and a very sad little salad.
I admit it was busy but you should still be able to cope.
The atmosphere was general good and
an afternoon session might have been more appropriate. I won't be going back for the food only the cold beer.
I had a brilliant meal here last year with my partner and his folks. I was a bit worried about having dinner here because it was very busy (it was in Easter, so reasonably busy tourist time for the area).
The food came really quickly. The service was wonderful. The price was perfect. Even a year on, I can still remember how good it tasted.
I loved the big wooden tables and extensive outdoor areas.
Further to the review below, the place was very kid friendly with many family's coming here for dinner.
Firstly this Bar is too close to the QLD border and thus suffers the strange fate that the locals play pool by QLD rules - seriously wtf. The beer garden here is the best around. it's super kid friendly (which is lucky since everyone in that area is breeding like rabbit with a point to prove) and always has some great band playing to get your dance on to. I'd recommend getting there early if you're around in the holiday season as the food line can get rather long.
