As you can probably guess from the name, this pub is located slap bang in the middle of the Sydney CBD. Well, sort of because it isn’t actually on one of the major pedestrian throughfares, but it does happen to be easily accessible. Still, it really wasn’t one of my favourite pubs, namely because it was a little too dark for my tastes, and a bit too fancy as well. Sure, they had craft beers on tap, and the service was okay, but it really isn’t one I’d be hurrying back too all to soon.
Catch up with friends for friday night drinks! As you enter via the street level it is packed! So up the lift to York 75 which the sports bar. Happy hour ended at 7pm which was only vodka based drinks for $5!
The bar is very small and cramped - there isn't much space to make drinks with only one ice well so be prepared to wait a while to be served.
The is a few long tall tables and the booths each have a TV screen at the end so patrons can watch whatever sports game they have on display.
The house red was actually quite nice for only $8! I also ordered the curly fries and they were pretty good!
I actually held my 21st birthday party on the 3rd floor of this establishment. It was definitely a great night with the amazing set-up including a pool table, private bar and heaps of room for people to walk around and dance.
Since then I've returned for post-work drinks on the ground floor and my positive opinions remains - spacious and not too loud.
