Hotel Grand Chancellor
Centrally located in Adelaide CBD, Sebastyans Bar at Holiday Inn is a casual, yet sophisticated and light filled bar where you can relax over good drinks in good company.
Dined at Bistro65 which is located on the first floor of the Hotel Grand Chancellor and found the staff to be very friendly and obliging. We had Huon Smoked Salmon served on a bed of varied lettuce with crispy bacon and poached egg for entree, a very generous serve and very pleasing to taste. Main course was Surf and Turf with chips and side salad, my steak was a little underdone to what I ordered, but the meal was ok overall. The sweets we chose was Coconut and Midori Creme Brulee with mango and lychee side dish. The creme brulee tasted like normal (no hint of the coconut or midori flavours), but it was still pleasant and the mango/lychee was a nice fresh finish. We weren't overly impressed with the meals but then again I wouldn't condemn them either.
I really enjoyed my stay here. The staff were friendly and very helpful. The hotel is clean and I particularly enjoyed the outdoor pool and spa. The gym wasn't much but the sauna makes up for it. The rooms were not cramped like other hotels and the location is prime as it's right on Hindley St which is the night life of Adelaide. I will most likely stay here again on my next visit and would recommend this place to anybody.
