Chifley’s is part of the Kurrajong Hotel and is open everyday. The lunch and dinner menu is diverse with a range of sandwiches, salads, marinated calamari, char grilled steak, lamb and risotto. A children’s menu is available and the casual restaurant is licensed with a bar and accepts BYO. From Monday to Friday, the kitchen will close breakfast at 10am, lunch at 2pm and reopens dinner at 6pm. Breakfast and dinner are served on weekends.
Nice heritage hotel in Barton, Canberra on the national circuit. The location is pretty good, not central but not far from it. The hotel is relatively basic but with modern and nice finishes. The rooms are relatively small, we booked a double with a terrace and the tar race area was all communal which was a bit disappointing. Also, your money doesn't go very far here..they only offer 100Mb in free wifi and you have to pay $15 for parking around the hotel. It isn't cheap so for the prices you pay we would have expected these optional extras free of charge. Nonetheless the staff were friendly and the hotel was nice.
