Central location but lacking atmosphere and energy. Great having the cheap steak and chicken but servings are inconsistent with each different chef

I attended a private function in the upstairs bar on a Sunday afternoon and it was a perfect space for 30 odd people. They don't have a lift to upstairs so the staff helped me with my pram. The menu has all the usual suspects and the prawns in batter were excellent.

Lots of seating and friendly staff. The kitchen only opens and takes orders at 12pm, so until then, it's packet chips from the bar.

I've been here many times. The steaks are a great choice for a cheap eat for dinner with some friends. The service is friendly and the wine list has a great selection to choose from. Great for meeting up with some friend in the week. I would suggest the upstairs area for eating.

As a local to the area we have been there a number of times. Generally quite a lively place with good food (Steaks are a winner) and friendly service. I would opt for sitting upstairs as the downstairs can be a bit depressing as its pretty dark.
