Had a lovely meal at the hotel palisade in the bar downstairs. Quite breezy and a number of seats to sit at. It’s hard to get a spot at Henry Deane upstairs so we made do with the downstairs. Bar staff had great personalities and were extremely efficient. Food was great, all group members commented on great food. I had cold soba and wagyu salad but the pie, burger and salmon special looked amazing. I also sampled a huge and delicious ploughmans board.
Had an amazing dinner and drinks at the Henry Deane Bar. The view is spectacular and the wait staff are very friendly and accommodating. The food is great but its a little weird they specify service charge on top of food and drinks! Why not just adjust the price to reflect the exact amount.. Having said that - the food is delicious with great flavours. I highly recommend the Spiced cauliflower, almond crunch, smokey sauce $10 and Bowl of mussels, white wine, garlic, chilli, grilled toast $28. Excellent spot to bring your overseas guests.
