What a great hotel! A last minute find on a quick Canberra trip and I was so pleasantly surprised. The whole place is pretty fancy and grand. There are numerous boardrooms and two grand ballrooms. The place was filled with suits and military personnel bustling around in meetings and what not. It was actually a pretty nice atmosphere. The staff were great, everything we asked for (such as late checkout) they helped out and did what they could. The in-room breakfast was convenient and really great, they have healthy options which is always a plus. You put your choice down on the menu and hang it on your door the night before specifying a time and, like magic, there it is. The gym facilities were high-end, spotless and great. There was a lot of space and it was a really nice temperature. We had a really pleasant stay and I couldn't possibly fault the experience.
Iam on the road all year working, so stay at lots of hotels, this was a holiday in Canberra
the hotel is in a nice location and 5 stars , so when we arrive no offer to take bags to room , even though i said we had quite a few,so lugged them up to room , which was great clean , the reastraunt was fantastic , so next day went down to gym and lap pool it was closed good friday , i dont believe it , as it was advertised as a holiday getaway no mention of closure of gym and pool, the neaxt night ordered room service meal after one hour i rang and asked how much longer it arrived not long after , our friends had same wait as well. again another really big thing to annoy is the de activation of your room keys before your check out , one walks back to room and red alert you cant get in , so down to receiption to stand in a que, for a five star hotel they need to get their act together, i have had much better service from Motels,
