Hotel Royal

Okay, while this may not be one of my favourite pubs, it is still one of those places that I have visited semi-regularly since I do have friends that frequent the place more often than not. The hotel has two sections, one section with pokies and a restaurant, and a front bar called, well, The Front Bar (which is usually where we hang out). The food isn't too bad, basically your typical pub fare, however it is still a haunt of many of the locals so it certainly isn't the trendiest of places to spend your time. They do have seating out along Henley Beach Road for those who like to eat outside, but it is also where the smokers all congregate. One of the cool thing about this place is outside it bistro/gaming room building (there are two buildings divided by the bottle shop) there is a bench and some stools where you can sit and watch the cars go by (if you are into that thing).

We had 13 people in our party. We hadn't booked, but the staff were friendly and found us a table.

We were able to use our half price vouchers for all 13 people!

The food was magnificent.

All 13 people raved about their meals - salmon, barramundi, vegetarian pizza etc etc.

Staff were very friendly.

We would definitely return.

We had dinner here on a Saturday night and were the only people in the restaurant and they managed to get the order incorrect. The food was very average and the staff were very casual in their approach to their customers.
