I helped my friend organise her daughter's 2nd birthday and was really happy to recommend House & Party for her decorations. Since i organised my son's first birthday with everything from balloons to party needs like wall decoration and matching paper plates, cutlery, table cloth...my friend really liked how i set it out. She thought i hired someone to do it all for me and i said its pretty much DIY as House & Party makes it so easy for you. So i was happy to help out and come into the store with friendly staff assisting in colour choices and great selection. For everything under $100 we got 4 sets of helium balloons, within each set has 3 balloons. Matching party hats for the kids and party bags. My friend was so excited and really glad i was able to help and recommend her to House & Party. She was happy with the result especially how the balloons turned out.
Was just here recently again over the xmas period. Theyve got 2 locations one at Sunshine Plaza and the other in Coburg. As far back as I could remember this store in Sunshine has been around for quite some time. They stock all the cheap quality goods that you would ideally like to find in the one location from the home dcor, stationarys, parties and gifts, technology, pet care and even gardening tools. Its just by the car park entrance, closely located next to Woolies. The staff here are friendly, Ive bought bits and pieces here over time, never had an issue. Recently theyve launched a fantastic website, in which you could even purchase directly online. Only downfall would be for them to offer all payment methods, as they dont accept American Express. Again, its quite obvious that cash is the preference here, as theyve set a high bare minimum when purchasing using your eftpos cards. Nevertheless, if youre in the centre, a great shop to wonder around.
Large variety of cheap party supply needs from the usual balloon. Gift cards, stringers, ornaments etc. Prices are ok, although there are a number of shops very similar to this not too far that offer a larger selection and prices slightly cheaper. At the end of the day. If youre in the centre and need to pick up a few items, its worth picking up everything in the one place, as youre not saving a drastic amount by really going elsewhere unless youre purchasing in bulk numbers. Much better than the likes of other stores who are also within the centre. The staffs have always been friendly on all occasions that Ive been in, no issues there. I agree with the other reviewer, that the staff behind the counter could smile from time to time, adds a little bit extra only to their customer service. Overall, worth popping in if youre in the centre.
Great shop with all your party needs for birthdays, baby showers, weddings, hens and costumes for other occasions. I went to a few party shops to get prices on balloons and decorations for my son's 1st birthday and House & Party is slightly cheaper. They have display balloons and if you are not too sure what you are after, there is a book of designs you can copy. Staff is very helpful in suggesting matching colours and designs. Generally need to book in advance so your order is ready for the day required as they are quite busy.
I always buy my party supplies here, they're cheap but probably not the cheapest but I still like to shop here as they pretty much have everything in the one shop from costumes to plates and cutlery. I also like to go here when I need a large range of helium balloons to choose from, they have pretty much a balloon for any occasion. They also offer helium hire too. The elderly lady behind the counter could probably smile once in a while.
