For me, The House of Chocolates at Bondi Road appears to be a place the original Bondi back in the old days. I could imagine a lot of kids swarming this place with their parents trying the best they can to reward their children with just enough amount of sweets, all set in the late 70s era.
This shop might be very small and the chance of elbowing an object or a person is quite likely if you are not careful, but it obviously has that classic olda-school charm, thanks to its white lights, walls, and old-looking shelves and settings. They are stocking all kinds of chocolates (by weight, bars, etc), variety of candies of local and overseas brands, as well as ice cream (tubs, slices, and so on).
We tried out some of their truffles as well as almond splinters and they were quite delicious. The prices are also pretty reasonable, and is definitely a nice place to frequent, with those many things on offer.
