Forest Hill Hyots - Extremely poor customer service. Went with my kids to watch Boss Baby. Bought a large combo and a regular combo. We were told we would get the Boss Baby glasses at no extra charge. Then we were told that they ran out of Large boss baby glass. Gave us a regular glass lying around with no lid. When we were ready to pay we were told 53.50$. Both my friend and I were shocked, asked for the break up and ofcourse we were charged for the glass. Then suddenly the offer was non existent anymore. SHAME ON YOU HYOTS. If this is how you try to make money, Good Luck. Even my 8 year old saw through the robbery and doesnt want to watch another movie at your theatre. Disgusting
Forest Hill Hoyts is not my usual cinema, but as Optus Movie Rewards are only valid with Hoyts, we thought we would give them a go.
Whilst lining up in the line for the candy bar, we were a little perplexed... where were the prices?? They had the typical banners above the register with pictures of the items available, just no price. When we got to the register, I asked if they had a price list, and the man politely said unfortunately no, but that we could ask him the prices of anything and he would tell us. We asked if there were any combos... nope. So the price for a medium popcorn and post mix drink was $18. Needless to say we passed! Cinema candy bars I know are notorious for being expensive, but I thought this was excessive! The cinemas themselves seemed quite dated. They were clean, but the seats were not overly comfortable. Can't say we will hurry to go back here! #reviewtowin
i think it is time for them to rejuvenate these cinemas. The chairs are uncomfortable and feels like your sitting on the person next to you. The popcorn is stale tasting ( makes sense since its pre popped and then re warmed). Some of the staff need an attitude adjustment and a little work on their customer service skills!!
