On August 30th our travel agent had booked a transfer from Adelaide Airport. Hughes farmed the job out to Citicar. When we arrived, the driver was nowhere to be seen. When we finally tracked the driver down, did not assist with our luggage, did not open doors and kept us waiting while driver dusted pollen from their car with a little brush. During this time driver got into a swearing match with someone where driver repeatedly quite loudly used the "F" word. A prestige service? I don't think so. I wouldn't waste a cent on this company. Book a taxi instead.
sorry to hear that.I had mixed reviews about Hughes over the years although my last using them was in the nineties when they ran the now defunct ansett australia chauffeur drive.prices sure have gone up with them.I was quoted last year $85 from Payneham to Adelaide Airport when in my part of town you still had to change buses in the city,these days they have reintroduced the J1 AND J2 ex Klemzig straight through but enough on that,it's gone up to $87 and I got sticker shock.rang up using the 1300 550 988 Qantas drive number and I swear the operators have no idea about Adelaide at all given from my home to the airport using Suburban Elite Taxi would be $50 at the most.Fed up I called citicar directly and get this $56.75 for the trip.AT LEAST THEY focus on the job and are not on the phones to their mates in their native language and mileages on the limo operators cars are not that high.
