We warn our clients about using this company with property transactions and the ones the seize to take our warning soon find out that they should have listened. We have never had any professional work come from them.
The solicitors answer the phone as if they're still in bed and what type of company allows the receptionist to answer the phone by saying "hey, what can I help you with".
Absolute joke of a business. We've had dealings where they don't even know if they look after a client and have asked if we've got the right firm... yes we do. Incompetent, un-professional. Don't let the cheap fees pull you in.
NEVER EVER go with Hughes Lawyers!! If you are looking for incompetence, being ripped off, being ignored and not replied to, being spoken down to, being disrespected, having your settlement jeopardised, having your settlement calculated incorrectly, having your money withheld, being over-charged, being utterly stressed, having an all-round nightmare experience; then Hughes Lawyers is for you. They are an insult to the profession! I would give them negative stars if it was possible
I would NEVER recommend the services of this company. Disorganised, unhelpful, uncommunicative, and highly unreliable, when you really need to put your trust into people who know what they're doing. Look elsewhere for services because you too will be disappointed in this business.
We agree - NEVER EVER go with Hughes Lawyers. Communication was terrible, they were very incompetent in every way and it threatened our settlement and we didn't actually receive our settlement money until a week later, then they charged heaps of extras without advising what they were. Awful experience!
WORSE EXPERIENCE EVER!!!!!! Would never recommend anyone to ever use Hughes Lawyers, we used them as our conveying for selling and purchasing our properties and it was a complete nightmare. We even had comments from our purchasers solicitors saying they were a complete joke. Communication was terrible, they were charging us extra fees left right and centre and had to keep paying for extensions as they couldn't do the job properly. Ended up costing us more then using a top notch lawyer :(
