Staff from Hugo glass answered the call when the window of our sliding back door shattered. They turned up and with some difficulty replaced the glass in our door, they did not use the old rubber seal around door instead using a very poor light blue sealent, they told me not to open the door for 24 hrs to allow the seal to dry. They must have broken the bearings when remmoving the door frame as the door has been terrible ever since. The sealent has never dryed and is dropping out (6 mths now). On the whole the job was nothing short of a total disgrace. They left broken glass on dirveway. All requests to get them to rectify their poor work have failed.
We had a very good experience with John from Hugo Glass. His quote was very competitive and his knowledge of the product and requirements were well above the competitors. The service was punctual, efficient, courteous and very professional. This made for a pleasant experience
Miracles do happen!
I needed to have a smashed window repaired urgently. John (from Hugo Glass) responded promptly to my request for a quote. Whilst his quote was for a similar amount to others I received, John quoted for a safety glass replacement, as is required for a window at floor level, It was only after I questioned the other glaziers, I found they had quoted for cheaper 5mm glass and tried to convince me that would be "good enough".
John arrived the next day, ON TIME !!!!! , did a great job and overall was a pleasure to do business with.
I would highly recommend Hugo Glass to anyone requiring glazing services.
