Friendly and helpful service, and a great range of delicious cakes and treats.

An enticing window display of various cakes, biscuits and desserts that drew us in one day. It was hard to decide on just a couple of things to try. You can't go wrong with one of the many baklavas, and the salted caramel yo-yo is amazing. I've also tried the Armenian sujuk delight - something different to try that I've not seen before. Turkish delight is also a winner. A special mention for the many different flavours of donuts on offer - I think they're up to about 10 flavours now. I've only tried the salted caramel and lemon meringue donuts but they were so yummy. Not fried and oily like some donuts, more like a sweet bread, so it didn't feel quite as naughty, but was so nice! Coffee was fine but I'd prefer it a little stronger. High chair is available for little ones and the service has been fantastic every time I've been here. Will definitely keep coming back and one day will try some of the savoury items.

Hugos has become my favourite Kingsway Caf. Consistently good coffee, super genuinely friendly staff, and always spotlessly clean. Ive tried some of the cakes they have, including the Baklava, and they were great. I personally found the prices were quite reasonable compared with some others. Limited menu is a shame, but you cant have everything I suppose. I like this caf, and hope that they remain consistent with their Coffees. Once people cotton onto this place, theyll do very well.
