WOW!! I am so happy I have found this shop! I recently visited in search of a gift for someone who is very difficult to buy for. The staff were so helpful, I just had to share my experience via this review. The ladies were genuine in their efforts to find me the perfect gift - it was so lovely to have such personal service in a world where everyone is usually too busy to give you their time. The selection in the shop was simply wonderful - I felt like a child in a candy store! Gorgeous jewellery, candles, books, cushions and artwork, soaps and wonderful textiles - I think I have found the prefect shop to buy beautiful and thoughtful gifts. Thank you Humble Beginnings! x

Wonderful home ware and gift shop on Avoca Street Randwick. I rushed in wanting a 21st present and was guided to purchase the most spectacular Kate Spade book- it was wrapped beautifully and was a real hit with the birthday girl who has everything. Highly recommend this treasure of a shop in Randwick for the great products and very helpful staff-it's a favourite of mine and my friends.

This local store is a real gem- ideal for buying presents for the wife, mum, female relatives and staff. I have shopped here for years and regularly enjoy buying gifts and flowers. I'm a bloke and often need 'direction' for my gift buying. I have always encountered the most helpful and willing staff, and the gifts and flowers are always appreciated. Thanks Humble Beginnings. I wouldn't go anywhere else!
I had encountered the surly attitude of the staff attending this shop on a few occasions but nothing that prepared me for their downright nasty behaviour when I attempted to exchange a gift last week. The gift was not age appropriate for an under 3 year old and I requested an exchange for something for my newborn who is due in one week. The shop attendant had a bizarre reaction. Staff demeaner and language were aggressive. I am grateful that I had a colleague with me who was equally shocked by their vicosous behaviour. It certainly brought me down from my pre-motherhood high and I will never subject myself to their bitterness by setting foot in Humble Beginnings again. Nor will my colleagues and friends. I recommend that you spare yourself the angst and avoid Humble Begginings at all costs! No one deserves to be treated that way.
