Recently I had dinner at Hundred Acre Bar and of course the food was great, but the wine list really caught my attention. Being in the wine trade this wine list made me very happy, to begin with the serving sizes are 180ml so youre getting a pretty decently sized pour.
What really struck me was the great selection of the usual suspects like Sauvignon Blanc, Chardonnay and Shiraz with a smattering of varieties you dont tend to see on the average wine list. On the whites list theres a Grner Veltliner from Austria, perfect for Riesling lovers, a super crisp Vermentino from Sardinia and Pizzini Pinot Grigio from the king valley, my favourite Australian ...read more
What an amazing gem hidden in St Lucia! We came in for a cooking class and were amazed at what we walked into.
The bar is set up very open plan with views out all sides to the surrounding golf course. Seating is setup like you're walking into someones living room - couches, tables and chairs around a closed in fire (they even have throw rugs for when you get cold!). It's clear that they have spared no expense creating this unique venue.
The staff were so accommodating - always checking how we were for drinks and food. The cooking class was very informative and interactive - head chef David Nield really gets everyone involved and provides a lot of tips - somewhat blunt but very true and lots of laughs.
We were so impressed, we will definitely return to this venue for functions, dinner and even just catch up drinks with friends!
Hundred Acre Bar is one of my favourite restaurants!!! The food is unbelievably delicious. I have been many times and it has never disappointed. I can't go past either the duck pancakes, or the salt and pepper calamari as an entree. As a main, my favourite meal i've had has been the prawn and crab ravioli parcels which was exquisite. However another solid favourite is also the beef medallion which is always a good choice. I also love the ambience of this restaurant as it is furnished very tastefully and has such an enjoyable atmosphere is you look over the picturesque golf course. The service is always friendly and the staff are very warm and welcoming. For a very enjoyable breakfast lunch or dinner, try hundred acre bar and it will not disappoint!!
