Hung Sanh Seafood

Our go-to place for bbq pork - we much prefer their pork to all the other places in Preston. The rest of their food is very good, and more authentic than most. Staff are quietly friendly and good with children.

One of the many chinese/vietnamese eateries on high street, but this ones differentiates itself as being somewhat more authentic than the rest. From the roast whole ducks hanging in the window to the sometimes only chinese character menu items, you feel like you are more in China, or maybe just Victoria Street, rather than being in another preston restaurant.

A search of all Chinese and Vietnamese restaurants between Gower St and Murray Rd reveal this to be the only one that does not have MSG in any dish I have tried. MSG gives me a headache and a bad taste in my mouth, and so I was delighted to find this restaurant. Although they call it a sea food restaurant, I think its range is great and its pork is astoundingly good. It has an enormous population of Asian customers which is a recommendation in its own right, and its lunchtime special is very good value for money. Service is typical of what happens overseas: you get forgotten if you dont keep waving for attention: play the "squeaky door" game and they will make you a priority. And becoming a regular is also a way of attracting better service; not unreasonable in a busy establishment, eh?

This is one our favourite vietnamese restuarants in preston. The BBQ meats are absolutely devine, especially the honey glazed roast pork. The service is always very friendly, however the speed and efficiency of service is quite randem. We always enjoy the sizzling beef with spring onion and ginger.

The Roast Pork and Calamari here are delicious. However if you are in a rush or want your food to come out together then I don't recommend Hung Sanh. The staff are friendly and they love children.
