Have always been going here since I was little, now I don’t go very much anymore, but I’ll still pop in maybe once a month or every few months as I still live around the corner. But they have definitely lost their appeal, although I still love the burgers and the fries!
I love the outdoor area here - and the big glass windows so you can clearly see to the play area. Although it wasn't a super busy HJ's, it did seem to be that I waited longer than I would have thought for my meal (including waiting for a staff member to serve me), but the food was hot (not always a given at fast food places!) and freshly prepared and certainly tasty. Even ordered a coffee from here which I wouldn't normally do at a HJ's and despite it being about 6,000 degrees too hot, it tasted OK. Certainly wouldn't avoid here, would even drop by again.
We thought the food was good - the chips were hot, the burgers were fresh! There was plenty of sauce too.
What we didn't like was the staffs talking about customers and other staff problems or dramas at the check out... It wasn't appropriate. There's a time and a place for bagging people out and that's not at work infront of customers
