Who we are

The aims of the Hunter Cactus and Succulent Inc are to promote interest in and share knowledge of Cacti and succulents, and of horticulture in general.

The Society meets monthly to discuss activities of the Society and share each other's knowledge of cacti and succulents. Many different activities are organized which include demonstration of horticultural tasks, care of cacti and succulents, selling and swapping of plants, book reviews, visits to plants collections and set displays to the public.

All members are very friendly and cooperative, attending monthly meeting and participating in the most of the organized events.
The society would like to extend an invitation to any one interested in these exotic plants to come along to any one of our meetings. We cater for all ages.

Spirit of Friendship
All members are very approachable and more than happy to share their extensive knowledge with newcomers.

Journal
Two journals are published each year and members are encouraged to contribute articles on plant species, their collections, places of interest, etc.

Library
A comprehensive library is available for members to use. All new book acquisitions are presented in book review sessions.

Plants for sale
At the meetings, there are rare and privately grown plants available for sales to members.

So why not come in and join us, have cuppa, cake and a friendly chat at our monthly meetings
