Hunter Valley Cupcakes and Cafe

To be honest - NOT IMPRESED. We decided to pop in for lunch and despite the fact we were the only ones there we waited a good 15-20 mins for our meal - which was a light snack really. It consisted of 2 croissants - that were already made up in the display cabinet (toasted) 2 cakes a milk shake and coffee. After waiting an eternity our drinks and cakes were given to us - still no *meal* - we wanted to eat the cakes AFTER the savoury croissants with ham and cheese. The milkshake wasn't cold at all and seemed to be just milk and chocolate syrup - no ice cream. The food was okay, the croissants were nice, we just couldn't work out why, with no one else in there we had to wait so long for food that could have been prepared and toasted in less time. The cherry slice was nice, but very hard (from being in the fridge). The staff were pleasant enough, just too long a wait for mediocre food. Wouldn't bother going back.
