Hunters Hill Hotel

It took me quite a while to actually walk to this pub, but that had a lot to do with where I got off the ferry, and the lack of buses between that point, and the pub. However, once I arrived it have to say that it was certainly worth it, this pub was actually pretty cool. Okay, from the outside it really doesn’t look like much, but that changes completely when you go inside and discover that they have completely revamped the place. This is especially true when you head out the back and see that huge courtyard for those who enjoy sitting outside, and even having a meal outside. Oh, and they also have a pretty decent selection of beers on tap as well.

My friend hired a room at the Hunters Hill Hotel for their engagement party.

Upstairs was decorated beautifully. It was smaller than I imagined, however, it was still quite spacious.

The bar upstairs wasn't too packed and the staff were super friendly.

Downstairs had more of a 'pub' feel but it had a nice outdoor beer garden and several different areas to sit so it's great if you're in a big group.

This place has undergone a glam renovation somewhere in the last few years. For the food, you pay at a counter and then you are given a buzzer which buzzes when your grub is ready. I had a nice Moroccan chicken dish, it was nicely cooked . I've also had Thai beef salad. Also good. Lots of large tables upstairs. Worth a visit.

The area is spacious and they have great big tables should you have a big group. The atmosphere is casual and very relaxed. I highly recommend the King Prawns with rice and the pork cutlet millanaise.

The bar staff seems nice but the restaurant was terrible!!!! One nice bar safe realised my pizza was overcooked and took it back to to the kitchen. Then ANOTHER staff member brought my pizza back saying it wasn't overcooked, and started touching it, turning it over. I obviously no longer wanted it, as it has been touched by others so asked for refund and after that, worst of all, i had the restaurant MANAGEMENT come and throw another pizza on my table, with NO apology or eye contact and rudely say 'Well, the chef already started making another one, so you may aswell have this one'. It was a rude gesture, not kind. With no apology, understanding or eye contact.
