The dental surgery seemed quite archaic in the resources and tools they used, but the service they provided by Dr Sim, was fantastic, one concern I did have is they gave me some paperwork they required I signed, despite that I was quite disoriented from the drugs they’d given me - so I didn’t really get to read it or understand it very well, other than this everything else seemed fine right up until I had to pay the bill.
I accept that paying $600 for a wisdom tooth to be removed was an amount of money suitable to pay for the surgery I had. After looking at the X-ray, my dentist suggested me to go with an oral surgeon for my wisdom tooth removal and I ended up going to Dr Tracey Huntley's clinic. After my first consultation with her, I was asked to do CBCT scan which is a lot expensive and was informed by them it's only done at one place in the city so had to rush there to get this done because I needed to get it removed asap. For the surgery, I was given an option to undergo the procedure in local or general Anesthesia and I preferred to go with local as her appointment was easily available within a weeks time. In the morning of my surgery when they took me in the OT, I was informed that the Dr Huntley would prefer to do it under general Anesthesia only and I need to book a separate appointment for that which was available three weeks later. I was referred to another surgeon but after speaking to my friends who live locally I decided to see Dr Tracey Huntley as she was closer to where I live.
I found the service to be excellent and the staff to be very friendly & helpful.
I had my wisdom teeth out with Tracey at Werribee Mercy Hospital and the recovery was much quicker than I expected.
The prices were also cheaper than other practices that I called around to to compare quotes.
Do not go to this practice. It is just a joke. Mislead about costing. Ended up paying $300 extra for nothing. Worst part is Dr is always in a hurry and didn't even have time to have a chat about the procedure and what is the next step. WORST PRACTICE!!! NEVER GO THERE AGAIN!!!
