With all the advertising they are currently doing I have to warn people about them. They are unprofessional, untrained, the owner is the most arrogant man, ruined my leather lounge, carpet was still dirty and wet for days. Took him to court and won! Don't use them.

We booked Hurds to clean our couch as it we are moving it to a holiday rental property in the north of the state and to scotch guard it. When it was cleaned it appeared to have dirty water marks over it but we thought this was due to it being wet but the next day when it was completely dry the marks were still there. I called and organised to have it rectified the next day. When it was completely dry for the second time we still have marks on it and rang to complain as we also had a concrete rendered wall hanging knocked off the wall by the couch cleaner which cracked down one side. Needless to say by this stage we asked for the manager to come and look at the couch and the wall hanging as we had paid $285 for such a terrible experience. It gets better he told me he didn't have time!! (even though I explained once again that the couch was being moved on Monday). We were treated so rudely by the owner and ripped off right at Xmas! Far to late for a resolution now. We had to pay to have it fixed when we moved the couch to the north of the state so all up it was nearly a $500 clean and the cost of having our wall art fixed. His response was arrogant and rude!!
These guys did a great job cleaning our whole (new) wool carpet for its first year clean so we called them back out to deal with one (nasty) stain. Massive call out fee + carpet 3 shades lighter and roughed up = never again. Yes I called them to let them know I wasn't happy and their response was "well the carpet was already damaged so it isn't our fault". I'd take the smaller coloured patch over this larger brights spot that reeks of oxidising agent. If I wanted a bleached patch I could have done that myself.
tl;dr missing start for shoddy and expensive call out and more for management handling after. Try a different company!
Thanks for replying - at no point were we expecting the stain to be fully removed. What we were not expecting was for the carpet to be seriously damaged in the process. The section that was "cleaned" has been felted, which is far more obvious than the stain given that the carpet is a Hycraft wool loop pile. Now whenever someone enters the house they notice the damage and ask what happened to the carpet - leaving us open to reinforce that none of our friends will be using Hurd's in the future. ...read more
