The Lowdown: Greeted with a bib, I already like this place.
The smell of beef ribs arrived much before the meal, but upon arrival they were nothing short of spectacular; piping hot, smothered in delicious basting sauce, beef so tender it couldn't part with the bone fast enough!
Writing this I'm hungry for ribs again...

Pro Tip: Order a side of basting sauce - the sauce they use for the ribs.
The "monkey gland" sauce is also a great chip dunker - don't worry, no monkeys are harmed in making the sauce.

Hurricane at Top Ryde is a nice, large, and equally busy family restaurant. There are always crowds and occasional queues at this restaurant, but the wait times are still reasonable and you can always make reservations last minute (unlike other Hurricane branches where you need to book weeks in advance in order to get a proper table).

Whilst waiting, you can go order some drinks at the bar and sit on this small corner lounge next to the entrance.

The quality of the food is very good as usual — the ribs are always the one to go for. The staffs are also quite friendly and courteous, and the food comes relatively quick.

Even though there are practically no view in this Hurricane, there are a lot of parking spaces in this shopping centre and it is also free for the first few hours, so this is perhaps the most accessible Hurricane restaurant.

By now I'm sure everyone knows the best ribs in Sydney is here. I've been to Darling Harbour as well as Brighton Le Sands and this is easily not to the same level as them

Here's a few reasons why:

Unless things have changed no complimentary bread

Food took 30-45 minutes to come out

They were stingy with the chips

They hide the iceberg lettuce at the bottom of the salad and had the more expensive lettuce on top

The food though is still tasty but I rather go back to the other 2 places than here. When your already paying the prices that you do,you don't want to feel like they are cutting corners

This place is great for ribs and burgers. The menu is diverse and the customer service is always attentive. The place is massive so it's great for big groups and celebrations. I highly recommend ordering the Rib and Steak combo - its great value and you will definitely feel the meat coma afterwards.

Our favourite place for good food and drinks- a change of menu wouldn't go unnoticed though!
