We bought off the plan and have had a very bad after sales experience. The lack of care from Hyecorp and their subsidiary company North Shore Propert Development is terrible. Their reluctance on fixing defects so disappointing. Our unit has big issues with the flooring that slopes and troughs throughout so bad it feels you are walking on a slant or standing in a ditch. Our stove is also non compliant being too close to the backsplash. This means it is a fire hazard, the warranty on the backsplash is void, and the stove is disfunctional as you cannot place pots and pans safely on the front and backburners. Other units have additional issues with doors, painting, plastering, scratches, cracks, poor workmanship throughout. Any future buyers need to be aware and ensure you get a building inspection before settlement and that you put into your contracts that any defects found during pre-settlement needs to be fixed before final settlement, and after ...read more
We bought off the plan in one of Hyecorp's buildings. While overall we think the building is lovely, the after sales defects process has been nothing short of disappointing. All we have had are small handyman patch-it fixes, and nothing but the run-around for larger defects or a flat out refusal to repair. If I could go back in time I would also place in my contract a fixed time for fixing defects, not permit 'similar materials' clause, and cross out 90 day defect clause. Also I would make sure pre-settlement I have a building inspection done (not allow them to give me 20 minutes to find defects the first time I ever see the apartment). Then I would have checked for issues regarding floors (uneven, ditches, troughs, sloped); stove (non-compliant distance from wall, potential fire-hazard, cannot cook on all plates at once); windows (marked, scratched), door frames (bowed, not square); doors (not sealed; bowed); fixtures; hot water, and made sure there was a fixed ...read more
Just completed a 200 page building inspection funded by residents this 2 year old building has serious water drainage and structural issues over every floor. Buyer be ware when it comes to Hyecorp construction. Sure it's under warranty but where are the builders ? Off rushing more shoddy jobs.
I agree - in our building in Artarmon we have issues that Hyecorp are not wanting to address, or are providing misinformation to delay/confused owners.
I agree with the other post as I live in the same building. Hyecorp are money hungry I specifically asked the sales staff if there were any other developments going on in the street they denied any now there's a 10 story monstrosity overshadowing our unit. Rushed all finishes to start their new developments. Shame on Hyecorp.
