Love this place! All dishes look delicious on the menu and made it hard for me to choose. Large variety too. Seating areas are available inside and outside. On this occasion I picked outside ‘cause the weather was beautiful.
My favourite dishes so far: spring rolls, soft shell crab, all in one bowl, steamed bao bun and fried rice. While you’re there you gotta order their ice coffee. So strong, aromatic and the best Vietnamese coffee you can get. They use very popular Vietnamese coffee bean from Vietnam!
I love Pho is not only the name of the restaurant we visited but a true statement of our feelings towards it. Situated in the heart of Crows Nest is this Gem of a Vietnamese restaurant, serving up tasty traditional cusine.
The restaurant also has a traditional aesthetic look and feel which also reflects the style of food. With bamboo lining the walls and Vietnamese themed art, it feels welcoming and genuine. The service was prompt and super friendly and our waiter was extremely charismatic. Upon looking at the menu it was nice to see this restaurant is involved with a charity that helps the children of Vietnam, with 50c from every meal going towards building schools in regional areas. With this Crows Nest eatery’s name referring to a particular Vietnamese dish, it’s a reasonable bet that their pho - beef noodle soup – is going to be great. So during my recent visit to this undeniably popular restaurant, I gave pho a miss in favour of trying some of the other dishes on their extensive menu. I visited for Saturday lunch, and the narrow restaurant was packed to the rafters with families, couples and bigger groups, with many of them opting to slurp beef noodle soup.
Despite the crowds my table is very quickly littered with colourful Vietnamese fare, all of which was very appropriate to Sydney’s warm summery weather. I Love Pho’s Mixed Entrée ($15.50) platter is an eye-catching collection of tasty long things, running from nicely blistered Hanoi crispy spring rolls to a fresh roll ...read more
Located on the popular strip of Willoughby street in Crows Nest, I love pho is your choice if you feel like Vietnamese. We went with the staffs recommendation of crispy pork boa and Vietnamese crispy duck pancake for starters. The duck pancake was light and delicious and left us excited for the mains. The main dishes really were the stand out of the night. The shaking eye fillet beef with pepper sauce was our pick with high quality meat and a great balance of flavour. The stir fry basil duck with chili was a nice way to finish what was a light and flavoursome Vietnamese experience
Massive fan of this place, which I have no doubt has contributed to the demise of many nearby Chinese Restaurants as the Australian palette looks for something more than the slap up westernized Chinese.
'I Love Pho" makes you really say "I Love Pho" and all the dishes on the menu. My favourite is the Crispy Fried Chicken, which defines authentic. There's also the diced beef cubes in a black pepper sauce which is my second favourite dish.
Of course I love the Pho, but unlike an Seinfield episode "Soup is a meal here" and a very good one at that. Just I don't like sound all the time. And Pho variation on the menu is sublime.
Service can be up and down and I think all the delivering places that "I Love Pho" caters for, slows it down more than the number of patrons, which seems to be consistent every time I go there. Great place for lunch, but I prefer the diner ambiance.
Well worth a visit.
