Ibis Perth

Simply but tastefully furnished, with an olive green and aubergine theme throughout, the fully licensed restaurant serves a buffet of continental and cooked options, and a small, uncomplicated dinner menu. After a casual meal, diners can adjourn to the brightly coloured I Bar for post-dinner drinkies.

I only stayed one night as I received a heavily discounted rate. The location of the hotel is good and the room seemed clean and tidy. The room was miniscule and the window was a narrow slit. There was no view. the carpet and bathroom had a disagreeable odour. To my dismay, the sheets were not long enough to cover the mattress! I plan to complain to Accor Pacific as this is a low standard for a business hotel albeit at the budget end.

Good location. Friendly staff. Room was soso. My room, 210 was overlooking the offices but noisy because of the vending machine in front of the room, couldnt sleep. They changed the room into 220 on the next day. No view at all.

My parter and I often choose this hotel to stay in as it is nice and resonably priced. Rooms are good, food is good and location is GREAT! good for a night out on the town but probably not suited for a "romantic" night out!

The Ibis on Murray Street looks good on the surface, but leaves a lot to be desired in many ways. The double rooms are average. The bathroom had a slight smell of sewerage, and the hot and cold water taps almost impossible to use. To have a shower, you turn the hot water tap on 1/8th of a turn and the cold water tap on 10 full turns. The water pressure wasn't good either, in fact, the showers on the Indian Pacific train were heaps better. The taps on the vanity basin were so hard to turn off, you had to use a face washer to get a proper grip to turn them enough to stop them dripping. The freezer doesn't work, so you have no ice cubes.
The good points are the staff on reception and their Sri Lankan chef. That guy really knows how to cook, and his Marinated Chicken Breast with Goats Cheese medallion topped with a mix of semi-sundried tomatoes and cashew nut paste is beyond reproach. ...read more
